One of the main objectives for the trucking industry is SAFETY. In fact our industry spends billions of dollars each year towards making our industry safer.
NJMTA would like to recognize our members for their efforts and achievements.

Our 2025 Driver of the Year has been a driver for over 40 years. In that time, he has racked up close to 2 million miles.
Over the years he has been an owner-operator and a company driver. He has driven numerous types of vehicles. Straight Trucks Tank Trucks, Flatbeds, Twins and more. He has driven locally, regionally and over the road.
According to his safety manager he embodies the professionalism, dedication and skill that define the best in the transportation industry. His commitment to safety is unparalleled, boasting an impressive 15-year safe driving streak following a remarkable 20-year streak before that - an achievement that speaks to his unwavering focus, precision and responsibility on the road.
Beyond his exceptional driving record, he goes above and beyond in his role. He starts his day working the dock before hitting the road, demonstrating his strong work ethic and willingness to contribute in every way possible.
His reliability extends far beyond the job description; many of his customers entrust him with the keys to their businesses, allowing him to open and close their facilities when schedules demand flexibility. That level of trust isn’t given lightly – it’s earned through years of integrity, dependability, and outstanding service.
His experience, safety record and customer relationships make him not just a great driver but an ideal ambassador for the transportation industry. His work exemplifies the professionalism that keeps our supply chain running smoothly and safely.
He is also the most senior driver at his company.
He is married with 2 children and in his spare time he enjoys camping and fishing.
