The New Jersey Truck Driving Championships & Safety Awards Banquet Dinner is a premier annual event celebrating professionalism, precision, and excellence in New Jersey’s trucking industry.

Hosted by the New Jersey Motor Truck Association (NJMTA), the Championships bring together the state’s top professional drivers to compete in a series of challenging events that test their knowledge, skill, and commitment to safety. Participants demonstrate expertise in written examinations, pre-trip inspections, and hands-on driving skills course designed to reflect real-world scenarios.

The event culminates in an elegant Safety Awards Banquet Dinner, where we proudly recognize the achievements of drivers, companies, and safety professionals who exemplify the highest standards in transportation safety. During the evening, awards are presented to Truck Driving Championships class winners and the Grand Champion, as well as recipients of the Fleet Safety Awards, Highway Hero Award, and Driver of the Year Award. These honors celebrate individuals and companies that demonstrate exceptional commitment to safety, professionalism, and service while helping keep New Jersey’s roads safe.

This signature event not only highlights the dedication and professionalism of our drivers, but also brings together industry leaders, families, and supporters for an evening of recognition, networking, and celebration.

We have a block of rooms at Harrah’s Resort, Atlantic City. The ABSOLUTE DEADLINE for these room rates is MAY 6, 2026.  After MAY 6th reservations/ rates will be subject to availability.

ROOM RATES:  May 28th - $99, May 29th - $199, May 30th $249, May 31st - $99 - plus tax. Check-In time is 4:00 p.m. and Check-Out time is 11:00 a.m.  Rates are subject to applicable resort fees and governmental room taxes.
